Our Mission and Philosophy

We strive to make live music accessible to kids by creating and fostering a thriving community of young musicians who frequently perform in their communities.

MOST music teachers will make you spend years learning to read music just to simply play along with your favorite pop or rock song, but we believe that approach is dated and misguided, and is often the reason so many people don't enjoy music lessons and quit after a short time.

Our approach is an alternative to these music schools who only teach students to read music. By teaching in a more modern way - first using our ears, instead of our eyes - and by teaching music theory and chords by rote very early, students will have a much more enjoyable journey, and will stick with their instrument longer.  We show our students that music can be a creative outlet, not just another technical skill that can feel like an extension of school.
