Morgan F.

Violin & Viola

Teaching with us since June 2019

Morgan is a classically trained violinist who loves to "fiddle around" when given the chance. Morgan's roots are in classical music, so he knows what the word "rallentando" means and how to perform one. However, his real talent lies in improvisation and feeling the music, not just playing it. He performs regularly on stage and at the Durham Farmer's Market, playing everything from fiddle standards to jazz standards, to classical pieces, popular music like the Star Wars theme, and  his own improvisations on a theme of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." When he first jammed with the Rich Music Staff band it felt like we had played together 100 times already!  Morgan looks forward to helping the next generation discover their love of music and the violin!
